I've got my new lappie formatted!

Happy Chinese New Year!

I'm back to share some knowledge here =)

I was really pissed when my 4-months-old Toshiba M300 started to take a merely 5 mins to completely startup after switch on. (I think that's super long, especially when I was sitting in front of it and what I could do is WAIT!)

So, I got it formatted finally! Oh well, using the recovery disk of course. ^^ My first attempt to format was failed as it ended up with only 1 partition in the 320GB hard disk. I didn't realize until I almost done installing all my essential programs and wanted to transfer my backup files back to my lappie. So, I reformatted and during my second attempt, I repartitioned my hard disk and oh-so-good, I've done it! The whole process took me 2 days! (It's oh-my-goodness-long due to the failed attempt!) I spent my 3rd day searching, downloading and installing softwares that need to be cracked.

Besides that, DO check your Startup Program list! (I've accidentally found this in the Control Panel as Win XP can be easily found, but not to Vista, I still don't like Vista duh!) I found that most my Toshiba pre-installed programs are running after startup, which I think that this is the main issue that contributes to the loooooooong startup previously. You can turn off Windows Features too, as an Admin! eg. Windows Meeting Space, Tablet PC and even Games where all these are pre-installed features that come together with Vista!
What you do is to access to Control Panel -----> click on Program -----> click on Turn Windows features on or off and click "continue" after a window asking for your permission pops up. Untick features that you would like to turn off and wait for a pretty long time (not several minutes as mentioned ya XD) for configuration. Better restart your PC after that.

Btw, here's another important stuff to know. When you're using Win XP, you can analyze and see the fragment details in Disk Defragmenter. Now you don't in Vista as it is a simplified version of Disk Defragmenter in Win XP. But, here's a good site to share with you. You can now analyze your hard disk before defrag too! ^^v They have advices and a list of parameters to be used during defrag. Great site!

*Pls make sure you right click your Command Prompt in Accessories, and "Run as Administrator" to defrag your PC. This is because ONLY Admin can do the defragmentation.

Ok, I'm still downloading cracks. =) Photoshop CS4 Extended! And I need tutorial for Watermark Master to create watermark on images. Sad that I can hardly find it, they only have tutorial on watermarking video. =( Or do you have alternative software to share with me? Gotta go through the tutorial of Photoshop and try it after my CS4 finish downloaded! I may remove the Watermark Master later if I can do using Photoshop! Let me know if you need the crack of Watermark Master, I still keep that at the moment. ^^

M E M O R I E S

I recalled a lot of sweet and funny memories together with the buddies during my matriculation time after those replies in FB from Guek and Tom. LOL~ Even we had spent our time together in less than 12 months, but we had the craziest moments together. And hey, all these are related to Mr. Yeap. >.< Guek, I really feel like it had just happened yesterday.. Damn funny oh! I wonder if u still remember his full name. I dun think he ever changed his contact number. I see that he's looking for those 1 to 1 home tuition, from the results i googled for his name. Oh ya, I also remember that u named someone "咸蛋超人" and "张天霖". They're coursemates now I think. I suddenly remembered our orientation too.. So torturing but we damn clever de lor.. Thanks a lot for ur roomate's idea. And also the water issue, till now still the same lor. Missing u guys loadsssss..

Btw, all the best in ur final year and oh yea, ur thesis too.. Dun so pekchek ya~ MuackxXx~

他就是 米修 米修 小小彬~!~! 第一次見到他和他的弟弟，迷你彬 就在 AEC 每週四晚上10點 的 《今晚咖很大》！那時候就愛上這超級無敵可愛的小弟弟了！活潑可愛又聰明的咧！捧著一顆大大的棒棒糖，送給他心儀的小女朋友。哈哈~ 怎麽都沒想過這僅僅只有4嵗的小弟弟會出現在《下一站，幸福》裏呢！

《下一站，幸福》超感人的！梁曉樂 （小小彬飾）是女主角 梁慕橙 （安以軒飾） 和男主角 任光晞 （吳健豪飾）的小貝鼻。由於很多很多的原因（懶得寫啦，看《下一站，幸福》就知道啦！），這位小弟弟被帶到【花田村】去，和他的 慕橙 媽咪 還有 拓也 大仔 （地球上的爸爸）一起生活。他喜歡到公園去等待他的外星人爸爸來接他，也就是任光晞 啦！他都用發射器尋找他的外星人爸爸， “米修 米修 爸爸 爸爸 你收到訊號了嗎？請宇宙ㄅㄨㄅㄨ 來接我回去吧 Over” 呵呵，可愛吧！米修 米修 = Miss You Miss You 喲！ 附上三張梁曉樂的公園照啦！

I'm Back!

Yeah, I'm back after MIA for 2 weeks+.. haha~ I'm still alive, no worry.. =P

Wasn't in the mood of blogging. Sometimes the line isn't so good. The pages that finished loading will disappear after I changed to other tab, which means I have to reload them. Yeah, very weird. My Gmail takes forever to sign in.. Aww.. I really hate that when its been my habit to check mail everyday! I hate to sign in to my MSN coz my hand was so itchy that I updated it to a new version. With a almost 5 years old lappie I have, it keeps lagging every minutes, sometimes even every seconds!! Worst than ever! So I always right clicked the MSN icon and clicked "EXIT" when my windows just started up to minimize the lag-ness. Yes, I'll get a new one this Wednesday! Toshiba M300-D4313 within 3k, although what I want is a Sony Vaio or Macbook. But nevermind, I love the price more. haha~ To me, this M300's specs are too good and it's more than enough. If you wanna buy laptop, let me know and I introduce you to this guy who give me such best price! Anyway, you would not want your laptop delivered to you by any courier service I guess. Coz it's really fragile and who cares and who knows if the delivery / handling guys throw it? It's so heartache if you see this with your eyes.. :) So mine is self collect in Subang, my dad's there with his friend now!!

I spent most of my time loitering with my dad when he's around. Wake up early to go for breakfast then go here and there to settle bills, buy some stuff, collect mails and etc. My cabinet's gonna ready soon. Yeah, hopefully very soon since it's only a small mistake.. muahaha~

I spent most of my time sleeping and watching TV lately, since my dad has been away to KL. I can say I never remember my dreams but I had very weird dreams that I remembered only the endings. Oh it's tsunami!! I suddenly remembered my dreams when I saw the Sumatra earthquake's news in TV last Thursday and I went to search on tsunami's news. To my horror, the tsunami in Samoa happened to be on the day I dreamt. Really a coincidence?! =S

My first time experiencing the earthquake and tsunami's effect (not sure if that was aftershocks or what) in Klang, on 28th March 2005. That time was very blur, dunno what was happening. What my housemates and I saw were our tables are shaking in the midnight when we were doing assignments.. Yerrr, very stupid 1.. Then the Indian girls next door shouted at us from the kitchen's window and told us that was the earthquake and tsunami that hit Sumatra. We were watching people running out of the building lagi tuu.. Too many natural disasters lately, to be exact, these few days, since the Parma Typhoon that hit Manilla, here also affected a bit (the tail of typhoon). I think I had enough experiences on typhoon and earthquake & tsunami d, those victims are really pity de..

Anyway, I'm going to KK next Sunday for a week. weehee~ I wanna eat Bakuteh! Gained few kgs lately due to good breakfast! haha~ I normally have to starve till lunch time.. I'm starving again since dad's not around, and soon when my dad goes to stay with my elder bro in OZ. Kampung eh! I think he won't stay long.. Paling paling also 2 months.. haha~

现在心情不好。 昨晚在1个小时半内连续喝了2杯自己特制的白咖啡，结果整夜和睡虫拼个你死我活。眼泪一直流（要睡觉啦！），眼睛却大得很呢！好不容易从5点半早上躺到8点早上（哇噻，2个钟半咧！肚子超饿的。）睡着了。结果，第一次被老豆叫去吃早餐，为了睡觉，肚子饿到半死都不要出去。过后，我还是有睡着的。第二次就火大，不知道哪个家伙TXD 酱不识趣，拨通了电话又挂断，然后发短信过来。整个睡觉的过程都不到半个钟!! 我没有那家伙的电话，我也懒得回复他。恨死你了，害我又饿，又没有早餐吃，又不能睡觉。眼睛都红掉了！最好不要再来骚扰我，免得我从此以后都不理你。

教训：不累，不疲惫的话，我都不敢喝酱多咖啡了。以前喝3 杯都没事的。有够讨厌的！

Multi Task

Yesh! I love multi-tasking! I don't know why... I'm messing up my room again. Remember that I said I was tidying up my room some time before this? And, I tell you I still haven't completely done with it yet. My luggage has yet completely unpacked. And I was DIY-ing boxes to place my stuff yesterday, more boxes to come in the future. haha~ Oh well, it's really messy.. I hope I can reposition the bed & almost everything that weren't built in next weekend as dad is free on that Saturday. I "hope" so, before the arrival of my new cabinet. =)

Will post up my new Seagate 2.5" 500GB external storage pics I took in hotel when I've got them from my dad. Bought hundred over bucks of Body Shop's items. The bath glove is nice!! Highly recommended by my dad.. muahahaha~ Yea, I have one light purple one's too.. And undeniable, it's really a great product. =)

GTG, off to watch TV. hehe~

Internet Connection again

Ok, it's all about the internet connection again!!!! Argh!! I'm so pissed again. Can't online since last nite. This is a new modem router so don't ever tell me it's the router's problem again!! Check on ur site pls... I really cant stand this anymore. Imaging calling TMnet every few hours everyday!! Argh!! I can see the google desktop's weather but I just can't surf net, can't msn and everything other than the google desktop is responding.. Damn it!! I've been patiently waiting waiting and waiting and telling myself that the router needs to rest even just for few hours.. But it had already rest since 8pm last nite la... Wey, almost 10 hours d and I still having this kind of problem.. I've lodged so many reports since last month but nothing seems to have corrected. Pls lar.. I dunno when will disconnect again.. Maybe the next minute! U better stay connected!!

F O R M A T Part 2

I think it's gonna alright now after few attempts to format my lappie. At first, it kept installing new windows on drive C and D which resulted to having 3 windows in my lappie. But after that I tried another method, the "delete partitions" way to format. It works quite well so far and is already installing new windows. I think this gonna be my final attempt. haha~ It's already 6 hours fooling with my lappie. T.T That's why I keep ignoring it until the lags is really unbearable. Unbearable in terms that every new windows I open is so lag and may need to restart it. I'm kind of patient rite until this kind of situation.. XD

I'm those kind that afraid I will spoil my lappie coz I actually can't live without it, not even a day unless I'm on a vacation. Dad was asking me if I wanna buy a new one during this KL trip but hmm.. He isn't printing money lar.. haha~ Feel like buying next time.. *Tell me I'm not a good girl. Tell me I'm lying!! I can't actually think of not buying one when I was granted the permission.. Sigh~* I've wanted a new lappie for 2 years!! eww~ That's so long!! I put those thought away when my house was broke in last year in Kajang. I lost 2 handphones and I've learnt a lesson. I kept telling myself not to buy coz it'll be stolen or robbed in such a dangerous place like KL. And I'm really determined until now. My lappie is kind of dying already since I was completing my thesis. And I just prayed that it can last until the last seconds I passed my thesis up. Glad that it survived till now!!

I'm gonna do some survey on Sony and Toshiba's notebook 1st.. But I think Compaq also not bad rite.. I want some special colour which is elegant and different from others. Green?? I'm not sure will I love that kind of colour if it's for long term use. I love white lappie like Macbook with the light showing off "Look at me!! I'm Apple's lappie!! Don't u jealous??" when you turn it on. But white will turn yellow. So I always avoid buying gadgets in white. My Logitech Spot Mouse has turned yellow and it's now 2 and a half years old already if I'm not mistaken. My dad's new Logitech Spot Mouse is so white and I'm kinda jealous.. JK~

Is Vista good? Or XP better? I'm not used to Vista yet.. hmm.. Feeling like getting a Dell one because the technician will actually come to ur house to repair for u.. But, do I need that kind of service?? I'll google the solutions on my own. I'll only depend on others when I really have no idea to handle the problem. 4 brands to choose.. Which one shall I take? What about you if you were me huh??

I think I shall postpone the purchase to a later date. Maybe some time end of September or beginning of October, after dad got his EPF.. hahaha~ Bad girl!!

F O R M A T

Ok, I'm formatting my lappie again.. I think this is gonna be a routine for me.. It will lag like hell and I keep waiting patiently, for months, until I finally decided to FORMAT it!! I hate formatting my lappie coz it takes 2 days to complete the whole backup, format and install process.. The C drive can't be overwritten and I have to install Windows in D drive then format C drive and then install Windows in C drive then format D drive again.. This is really a stupid process.. I dunno why only my lappie can't overwrite C drive everytime I perform this task.. And thanks a lot to Sam for teaching me to format on my own few years back.. 2 years? I don't remember.. Otherwise I'll have to wait until he back in December then only I can format my lappie.. haha~ He said, put the CD into the CD drive then click according to the instructions.. LOL~ It's true duh~ I don't know how to format using all the command lines..

Well, my lappie is really OLD, it's already 4 and a half years which during that time, harddisk is only 40GB!! OMG!! 40GB only.. That's why I have to format so frequent because my files are getting messier few months after format, and I will start storing files any place I see with more storage!! And then, when it's getting messier than before, I'll start storing in the desktop which I think it consumes my 512MB shared RAM that makes my lappie lags frequently. Closing each application after another and ended up only Firefox displaying on the screen. Sigh~ Dad, I want a SONY VAIO or maybe Toshiba? haha~ I want more storage harddisk.. 250GB? hmm... I want more if there's in the market.. So greedy ey!!

I'm going to KL this Sunday.. I've been eyeing on the red Seagate FreeAgent™ Go Special Edition (click on the link to see the external harddisk) for its aluminium sleek finish (for cooling purpose as my current harddisk is also aluminium casing from Vantec) for months but recently I found that there's no one selling in Low Yat, I think because it isn't in the price list. So I turn to Seagate FreeAgent™ Go instead and I wanna get one now . I've got quotation from few big stores in Low Yat, ranging from RM345-RM355.. But mostly black and silver colour.. I want BRIGHT BLUE but sad that Seagate only have bright blue for 320GB. I already have a black one and I don't want the same color again.. I'll get a silver one, unwillingly after twice disappointment. =P Ok, I'm a just a gadget maniac, I admit that. Hah!

Also getting a new Linksys WAG54G2 modem router to replace the old D-Link. Currently using a modem where only 1 LAN cable is allowed.. So I moved my lappie here and put my dad's aside. Well, I can't live without internet. hahaha.. My parents can use internet in their offices so I don't bother duh.. The modem is mine... XD But since that my lappie is in the process of format and install so I'm now using my dad's lappie.. I'm having connection problem now too which PROVED that the line here is really poor because this is a new modem.. So it's not D-Link's fault though for its frequent disconnection. But maybe it's time for it to have a long long rest duh~

I wish to get a Wacom Bamboo Fun 4X6 (seems to be small ey) but it costs RM330. For 6X9 is RM570.. o.O It's expensive so I will show my dad and ask for his permission first.. hehe.. But I've wanted a pen mouse since I have my own lappie. But bro dun allow me to buy.. So if I'm not allowed to buy then I'll buy next time when I have a new lappie, with all new gadgets.. =) Besides, dad also wanna get a Canon IP4680 photo printer this trip.

I did my job to survey all these and location of shops I must go in Sg Wang, Times Square and Sunway Pyramid so that I won't waste time window shopping those unnecessary stuff.. It's quite packed for this trip coz I'll be spending one whole day in uni due to my afternoon convo session. How I wish it's a morning session.. hmmm..

The skeptical me keeps shopping online, which I gonna turn my room into a junk yard someday, I think. haha~ I love buying stuff for just being curious.. Owh, I better change! Wanna get wholesale clothes from the net after back from KL.. Now bugging my dad to open a Paypal account.. =) I'm eyeing on gmarket's cheap apparels too. o.O

It takes time for me to change duh~ If I fail to sell them out, then I'll just stop thinking of doing online business.. I'm now clearing my catalogue's purchase during my primary and secondary times.. I'm just wasting money!! Sigh~ Dad is correct, collection are turning into rubbish when one has grown up.. I can see my dad's and mum's collection everywhere in the house too!! Our collection is really collection, never touched or used, simply for collection purpose. For CDs, we'll burn a copy and use only that copied CD.. XD I think whole house only my younger bro who has less collection coz he threw them away after some time..
